ABOUT ME

I am a nonprofit founder and COO with 20 years of experience in building and operating community-arts nonprofits. The last decade, I've spent co-creating Chapter 510 & the Dept. of Make / Believe, and the decade before that, National Novel Writing Month

My expertise lies in both business administration (left brain) and in creative direction (right brain), and I am here to help nonprofits with values-based infrastructure, creative strategy/storytelling, and project management for websites, brands, and buildings.

I am also a writer, mom, activist, absurdist, immersive storyteller, magic realist, educator, maker of beautiful spaces, magical thinker, and a generally joyful being who is grateful to be here doing all the important, weird, and wonderful things I've been put on this planet to do.

I acknowledge that the land we are on today is the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Chochenyo Ohlone people. I live in Huichin, also known as Oakland, on the unceded territories of Chochenyo and Ramaytush Ohlone peoples, who have continuously lived upon this land since time immemorial. I recognize the historic discrimination and violence inflicted upon Indigenous peoples in California and the Americas, including their forced removal from ancestral lands, and the deliberate and systematic destruction and genocide of their communities and culture.
